- Packaging/Print Material and Framework bill: H.696 would require producers of solid waste to pay for and implement a program for the collection, recycling, and disposition of designated solid wastes, including certain types of packaging. Vermont Mercury Thermostat Legislation, H515, effective July 1, 2008, establishes a program under which manufacturers are required to collect out-of-service mercury-containing thermostats. Also of interest - landfill banned materials in Vermont.
